Jalapeño de Fuego was born in dark times, during an unprecedented global pandemic. Its name represents fire, one of the five elements, symbolizing toughness, true love, and the ability to illuminate the darkness. Jalapeños, the cornerstone of our Mexican cuisine, inspire us to overcome difficult moments.

During the pandemic, the Andrade Bello family decided to cook for friends and neighbors due to the difficulties that COVID-19 caused with routine tasks. No matter how challenging it was to feed hundreds of people looking for someone to sell them food, Mrs. Edith Bello, without hesitation, put on her apron and decided to cook while her husband, Carlos Andrade, meticulously handled the shopping, ensuring he always brought the best ingredients to the kitchen. It was an endless job; while she cooked, other orders were packed to be delivered by her husband. Together, with great courage, they faced the challenges without any problem to meet the demand for orders they had at that time.

As the pandemic progressed, the demand for our food grew so much that we went from cooking only on Sundays to doing it every day. We left our jobs to dedicate ourselves completely to this dream, which was born out of love for helping others. The overwhelming response from the community motivated us to keep going, facing each challenge with determination and passion. Each dish we prepared became a symbol of hope and resilience for all who supported us.

In 2022, with a lot of effort and patience, we opened our first location in Elizabeth: Jalapeño de Fuego, a small place filled with love. We thank God, life, and our customers for trusting in this small family, formed thanks to a miracle of virtuality. Two people from the state of Guerrero who met in New Jersey, creating a beautiful family with two children and a proudly Mexican community.
